My Therapeutic Approach

I believe that in therapy, we use the relationship between client and therapist to address the challenges you bring to our sessions.

This involves telling your story and relating it back to the context of the therapeutic relationship. It is within these relational patterns that develop in the counseling relationship that allow you to gain a better awareness of yourself and greater insight into the nature of your challenges.

Together, we process those challenges in session, through story and relationship, to provide you with the tools to prosper outside of session.

About Our Work Together

Within our work, we explore your concerns, and collaborate to uncover deeper issues that may be influencing your life. Together, we discover the relational patterns that occur as you interact with me on a consistent basis. I strive to view the lives of my clients with open curiosity over any one particular clinical position. We work with where you are, in the moment.

My individual therapy practice includes (but is not limited to) treatment for the following:

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • trauma/abuse
  • grief/loss
  • relationship difficulties
  • DBT skill building
  • men’s issues
  • work/life balance
  • substance abuse
  • family conflict

We can discuss what you are experiencing and if I’d be a good fit for you. If I’m not, I can offer you a referral to another provider.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (Lic# LH61050032) in the State of Washington. I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in Seattle, Washington. I have prior professional experience in public relations and business management.

I currently do not bill insurance, but can provide support around out-of-network reimbursement. It is one way I can assure the highest degree of privacy, flexibility and control of mental health records. My current rate is $150.00 for a 50 minute individual session. I am currently offering sliding scale, for active students, with limited availability.
